Jeff Rose '77 Appointed to the Board of Trustees
Alumnus and prominent Houston banker Jeffery Rose '77 joined the Rice Board of Trustees July 1, 2007. Currently the senior vice president and regional manager for commercial banking at Wells Fargo Bank, Rose was nominated by the Association of Rice Alumni to serve a four-year term on the Rice board.

Rice Marks 40 years of African-American Undergraduates
"Most of us are here today standing on the shoulders of true heroes," said Jeffery Rose '77, one of several alumni who participated in a panel discussion last week about black students' experience at Rice. He thanked those heroes for leading the way after Rice trustees overturned the university's charter ban on nonwhite students in the mid-1960s.
