2009 Rice Alumni Travel/Study
Program
Dear alumni and friends:
In 2009, Rice alumni and friends will have a choice
of 14 travel opportunities, including our first-ever
private jet trip that will take travelers around the
world on an exploration of the most treasured and legendary
places on earth. Among our other offerings are a train
trip through Mexico’s Copper Canyon and four trips
in the "Village Life" and "Campus Abroad"
series. These trips are designed for those travelers
who want to experience the true character of a country
by spending time in its provinces, back roads, and local
market squares. They have proven to be among the most
popular trips for Rice alumni and friends.
Our small-ship cruises next year include a voyage from
Spain along the coasts of France and Italy on the three-masted
sailing ship Sea Cloud II, a family cruise of the Greek
Islands on the Corinthian II, the Galapagos Islands
on the M.V. Santa Cruz, and two river cruises: the Danube
on the new Avalon Artistry and a tuliptime cruise on
the new Avalon Poetry. In addition, our program includes
a cruise of Japan and China on the Azamara Quest, a
cruise from Istanbul to Barcelona on Oceania’s
Regatta, and a Middle East cruise on the luxurious Silver
Wind.
I urge you to complete the online
interest form after reading about the trips we have
planned for next year so you are assured of receiving
more detailed information on those that interest you
as soon as it is available.
We hope you will join us for one of these educational
opportunities and for the experience that comes with
Rice learning and travel.
Sincerely,
Rose
