About the REA
The Rice Engineering Alumni (REA) organization is dedicated
to supporting the George R. Brown School of Engineering
and serving its engineering alumni in their efforts
to give back to Rice University and continue the traditions
of value and excellence. The REA facilitates intellectual
and social interaction among Rice alumni, students, faculty,
and staff. The REA sponsors
continuing education and lifelong learning for engineering
alumni and recognizes outstanding students, faculty,
and alumni. Formed in 1938, it is the oldest alumni
special interest group at Rice.
Membership in the REA
is open to alumni of the eight departments of the George
R. Brown School of Engineering:
