Society of Rice University Women (SRUW)
Established in the fall of 1968, the Society of Rice
University Women promotes an effective and continuing
dialogue between the university and its alumnae. Designed
as a women's organization with which all could identify
after graduation, SRUW also welcomes female friends
of Rice to join and participate.
General meetings and seminars feature Rice professors
and staff sharing their latest research and technology,
as well as news of what is happening on campus.
Proceeds from our seminars and dues benefit our SRUW
Scholarship Endowment Funds for female Rice students,
the Fondren Library Woodson Research Center, and the
Shepherd School of Music. We are also a source of volunteers
for campus activities.
Most meetings and seminars convene in the Parish Hall
of Christ the King Lutheran Church,
2353 Rice Blvd. at Greenbriar. Parking is available
in the Rice Stadium parking lot.
Membership forms are available at general meetings,
or you may download
it here as a pdf file. Your membership and seminar
participation are very important to our goals, so please
join us and renew friendships and memories of your life
