Owl Club Scholarship Fund

Around the world, ardent fans of Rice University athletics have chosen to join the Owl Club to have greater access to athletic events, to support Rice’s stellar student-athletes who excel both on and off the field, and to sustain the existence of athletics on campus.

The Rice University Owl Club serves as both the annual fund for Rice athletics and "The Team Behind The Teams." Funds raised go towards current-use athletic scholarships.

Owl Club volunteer opportunities include helping recruit new members, working Owl Club events, and staffing our annual Phone-A-Thon. We also have an Owl Club advisory board for which interested Owl Club members can apply each spring. For more information, contact Paul Sutera or Brad Hovious.

"R" Association

Formed in 1913 as Rice's first alumni-based support group for Rice Athletics, the "R" Association consists primarily of Rice letterwinners. (Merit-based honorary memberships may on occasion be considered by the "R" Association board.) Former letterwinners are invited to volunteer with the "R" Association by assisting with annual events, including Hall of Fame inductions, a golf tournament, Scholar Athlete Banquet, and All Sports Banquet.
