Corporate Agent Program
Many companies have a large number of Rice alumni working
for them. Volunteers at each of these companies are needed
to inform and encourage Rice employees and retirees to participate
in their company's matching gift program, which could double
or triple their personal gifts to the Rice Annual Fund. For

Corporate Agent
This volunteer position manages the corporate matching efforts
for alumni employees, retirees, and parents at the agent's
company. Responsibilities include setting participation
and dollar goals, contacting Rice employees, retirees, and
parents at the company, sending another solicitation toward
the end of the company's matching program or Rice's fiscal
year, and sending thank you notes to those who do contribute
to the Annual Fund. Corporate agents are expected to make
a gift before soliciting others. The commitment is for two
years, with an average of two hours a month.

Golden Anniversary Scholarship
Program
This program is a five-year effort
by a class between its 45th and 50th reunions to raise funds
to endow a scholarship named in honor of the 50th reunion
of the class. For more information contact Helen

Golden Anniversary Class Chair
This position provides leadership and direction for the
project. Responsibilities include recruiting a committee,
leading committee meetings, writing semiannual solicitation
letters to the class, and working with program staff in
soliciting leadership gifts. The chair is expected to pledge
a gift before soliciting others. The commitment is for five
years, averaging eight hours a month during each November
and April of the project.
Golden Anniversary Committee
Each committee member is responsible for soliciting 12 classmates
during the project and for attending committee meetings.
Volunteers need to feel comfortable asking classmates to
contribute to this scholarship. Committee members are expected
to pledge or make a gift before soliciting others. The commitment
is for five years, averaging eight hours a month during
each November and April of the project.

Reunion Giving Program
Volunteers in this program raise
money for the Rice Annual Fund from their classmates in honor
of their 5th, 10th, 15th, 20th, 25th, 30th, 35th, or 40th

Reunion Giving Co-Chairs
This position provides leadership and direction for your
class reunion giving effort. Responsibilities include recruiting
a committee, soliciting classmates to increase their gifts
for this effort, setting goals and strategies, writing a
personalized letter to your class, and attending the reunion
gift check presentation at Homecoming. Co-chairs are expected
to make a gift before soliciting others. The commitment
is for two years, with an average of eight hours a month.
Reunion Leadership Gift Co-Chair
('80s and '90s Reunion Classes)
In this position, you will assist the reunion co-chairs
in identifying and soliciting classmates to lead the effort
with $1,000 or more ($500 for classes 10 or fewer years
out). You will recruit a committee, set goals and strategies,
attend training sessions, and attend the reunion gift presentation
at Homecoming. The leadership gift co-chair is expected
to make a gift before soliciting others. The commitment
is for two years, with an average of eight hours a month.
Reunion Giving Committee
This is a great way to be involved with your reunion. As
a member of your class reunion committee, you are expected
to attend training sessions and telefunds, update classmate
records, contact up to 20 classmates to make Annual Fund
gifts in honor of their reunion, send them thank you notes,
and attend the reunion gift presentation at Homecoming.
Committee members are expected to make a gift before soliciting
others. The commitment is for one year, with an average
of four hours a month.

Rice Parents' Leadership Circle
Committee
The Parents' Leadership Circle Committee
(PLC) is the most effective and direct way for parents to
become active members of the Rice community. The Rice PLC
is a part of Rice's ongoing Annual Fund effort. The Annual
Fund is a specific gift-giving program for parents of current
and former students. With unrestricted support by Rice parents
as well as Rice alumni and friends, the Annual Fund provides
a reliable source of immediately expendable income to develop
new academic initiatives. In addition, the Annual Fund supports
Rice students with enhanced residential college life, educational
technology, library acquisitions, campus security, scholarships
and much more. Volunteers are needed to serve on the Rice
PLC. The committee is comprised of an elite group of parents
across the country that is dedicated to playing a key leadership
role in the development of the future of Rice. For additional
