Frequently Asked Questions
How do I register my guest(s)?
On the first page of the Online Registration Form
, you will list yourself first. To add any additional attendees in your party, click the blue “+ ADD ATTENDEE” button at the bottom of the page. Next, enter your guest’s first and last name. These are the only fields you are required to fill out (a guest's email address is optional). Finally, click the blue “CONTINUE” button at the bottom of the screen.
How do I update my family's registration?
If you would like to add events to your registration, please do not create a new registration
. We ask that you email firstname.lastname@example.org
with any registration modifications needed, as well as a contact telephone number for us to reach you.
Unfortunately, the system does not consolidate registrations from the same user, but rather creates an entirely separate registration. As such, emailing requested changes instead will ensure the best registration and check-in experience possible for you and your guests.
How long will it take to receive confirmation of my registration changes?
Please allow 3-5 business days for us to process these changes to your registration. Once the modifications have been processed, you will receive a confirmation email. Registration changes will be accepted through the registration deadline of Friday, Sept. 20, 2019 at noon (CDT).
Do I need to purchase a ticket for my child for the annual Family Picnic or football game?
For the annual Family Picnic, children 4 and under do not need a ticket and are admitted free of charge. The $10 Child ticket is for ages 5-12 years old. For the Rice football game, any child 3 years and older will need a ticket for entry into Rice Stadium.
Do I need to register my student for the annual Family Picnic?
Yes, your student will need to be registered for the Family Picnic in order to attend the event. You may purchase your student’s discounted $10 Family Picnic ticket along with your own registration. However, please note: Your student will not need to purchase a game ticket to the football game as they will be able to enter for free with their student ID.
What if I need to cancel registration for a paid event? What is the refund deadline?
We are able to process refunds for cancellations up until the refund deadline of Friday, Sept. 13
. Please try to notify our office as soon as possible if you do need to cancel your registration, as we are unfortunately not able to refund tickets after this Sept. 13 date. To contact the Office of Alumni Relations, email email@example.com
or call 713-348-6094, and we would be happy to assist you. For cancellations prior to Sept. 13, please note that refunds can take up to 3–4 weeks to process, dependent on the issuing bank.

How do I purchase additional football game tickets if I’ve already registered online for Families Weekend?
