What are the costs of the events?

. In order to ensure the best weekend experience for you and your guests, we encourage guests to pre-register. Please note that prices will increase on-site, after pre-registration ends at noon on Friday, Oct. 26 (CST).
What is the best way to register for the weekend?
Online registration is available on the Homecoming & Reunion 2018 Registration Page
. We encourage you to pre-register online to ensure that we have your registration name badges and materials prepared for you ahead of time. We do accept walk-in registration on-site throughout the weekend, however prices will increase at the door.
What is the online pre-registration deadline?
Pre-registration online will close at noon on Friday, Oct. 26 (CST). Registration will be unavailable after noon on that Friday, Oct. 26 (CST) until Homecoming & Reunion Headquarters opens at 9 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 2. This is to allow enough time to process all registrations and prepare your materials for the weekend. You can still attend without pre-registering, though in order to ensure the best weekend experience for you and your guests, we do encourage you to pre-register online, as prices will increase at the door.
What are the benefits of purchasing a package?
There are several benefits to purchasing a package: 1. Youâ€™ll save money! 2. Youâ€™ll save time with a streamlined registration process! 3. It includes Homecoming & Reunion's most popular events, plus a one-of-a-kind Homecoming & Reunion T-shirt.
Why canâ€™t I register my guest?
You must select â€śAdd Attendeeâ€ť for each guest, before youâ€™ll be able to select events for them to attend. This should include ALL guests attending events throughout the weekend, including children, even if you wonâ€™t be purchasing tickets for them. This is to ensure that we have name badges and materials for your entire party ready upon your arrival. You can find the â€śAdd Attendeeâ€ť button on the Attendee Tab or on any event pop up box throughout registration. Once a guest is added, click â€śContinueâ€ť at the bottom of the page to move forward with registration.
Where can I purchase football tickets for the Homecoming & Reunion game?
You can purchase football tickets online at riceowls.com/hctix
or call the ticket office at 713-348-OWLS (6957). The discounted price of $25 per ticket is built in for you, and you will not need a discount code at this link, but if you call the Ticket Office, be sure to mention that youâ€™re interested in the Homecoming Alumni Discount Offer. The deadline to order discounted tickets online is Saturday, Nov. 3, at 12:30 p.m. (CST). If you would like to arrange seating for a large group, please contact the ticket office at 713-348-OWLS (6957).
Do children and Rice Students need to purchase a ticket for the Tailgate or football game?
For the Alumni Tailgate and Family Fest, children ages 5-12 and current Rice Students will need a ticket to attend but will have a discounted price of $10. Ages 4 and under are free of charge. For the football game, children 3 years and older will need a ticket for entry to the football game. Current Rice students with their Student ID get into the football game for free.
Can I modify my online registration to make changes after itâ€™s been submitted? (i.e. add a guest or event).
If you would like to add events to your registration once itâ€™s been submitted online, please do NOT create a new registration. Unfortunately, the system does not consolidate registrations from the same user but instead creates an entirely separate registration. Instead, we ask that you email any registration modifications to email@example.com
with the changes needed, as well as a telephone number for us to reach you.
How long will it take to process my registration changes?
Please allow three to five business days for us to process these changes to your registration. Once the modifications have been processed, you will receive a confirmation email to reflect your updated registration details. Requested changes will be accepted until the online registration deadline of noon (CST) on Friday, Oct. 26, 2018.Â Any changes needing to be made after the date can be made in-person at the Homecoming & Reunion Headquarters starting atÂ 9 a.m on Friday, Nov. 2.
Online Registration closed before I could register. Can I still attend Homecoming & Reunion?
Pre-registration online closes at noon on Friday, Oct. 26, 2018, but you can still attend! We unfortunately cannot accept registrations online nor over the phone after this deadline due to the preparation time needed for creating registration materials, but walk-in registrants will be welcome during the weekend. Check in at the Homecoming & Reunion Headquarters in Farnsworth Pavilion, located at the Ley Student Center, will be open during the hours of 9 a.m.â€“7 p.m. (CST) Friday Nov. 2 and Saturday Nov. 3.
I already registered online but can no longer attend Homecoming & Reunion. How can I get a refund?
If you need a refund for packages or events and you contact us before Oct. 26 at firstname.lastname@example.org
(or call 713-348-6094), we will be able to assist you. Unfortunately, we are not offering refunds for events not attended. Please try to notify our office as soon as possible if you do need to cancel your registration. In addition, please note that refunds can take up to three to four weeks to process, and that time frame is dependent on the issuing bank.
What if I canâ€™t attend all of the events I purchased in a package?
If youâ€™re not sure you can attend all the events that are part of a package, you should select the â€śHomecoming Individual Eventsâ€ť registration option instead of the package option. Reunion packages are a great option for alumni attending the full weekend of events, and unfortunately, canâ€™t be broken up for discounted prices on single events only. What events should I register for?
A great way to experience the highlights of Homecoming & Reunion and get the most out of your special weekend is with a reunion package, which is a discounted total price for attending all of the included events: - (1) ticket to your Class Reunion celebration - (1) ticket to the Alumni Tailgate - (1) ticket to the All-Alumni Party - (1) 2018 Homecoming & Reunion commemorative T-shirt. Please also be sure to visit the online schedule for a full listing of additional volunteer-coordinated reunion gatherings and many campus events! However, if youâ€™ll just be joining us for a portion of the weekend, youâ€™ll be able to register for Individual Events instead if youâ€™d like!
What is the dress code for the reunions?
The suggested dress code for most of the evening reunion events is business casual or cocktail attire. The suggested dress code for the 50th Reunion Dinner on Friday night is cocktail attire to semi-formal. Events that are during the day and afternoon as well as on Saturday are typically more casual.
What if my class isnâ€™t having a reunion this year?
General homecoming events are open to all and include the All-Alumni Town Hall, Faculty lectures, the Alumni Tailgate and Family Fest, football game, All-Alumni Party, tours and many other events. In addition, if you closely identify with another class year or would like to celebrate with that class, youâ€™re welcome to join those reunion celebrations.
Parking and Campus Transportation Information
Where can I park and what are the parking rates?
Free parking will be available in West Lot 5 and Greenbriar Lot G from 7 a.m. on Friday until noon on Sunday. Additionally, free parking will be available in West Lots 3 and 4 from 5 p.m. on Friday until noon on Sunday. Outside of these times, regular parking charges will apply. Regular parking charges will also apply to all other campus lots not listed here. Greenbriar Lot G and West Lots 3, 4 and 5 can be accessed via Campus Entrance 8 off University Boulevard or Campus Entrance 18 off Rice Boulevard. Please note, your name badge, which you will receive at check-in, will be required for access to free parking on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. If you wish to park in the above mentioned lots during Saturday's football game, you will be required to show your name badge for complimentary entry or the cost will be $5 (cash only). You can find other parking facilities and rates here. Name badges can be obtained by visiting the Homecoming & Reunion Headquarters in Farnsworth Pavilion, located at the Ley Student Center, Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
How do I travel around campus between events?
Rice has several bus routes available. The Inner Loop is a good option for traveling between events throughout the weekend. The Inner loop service operates from West Stadium and around the Inner Loop Mondayâ€“Friday from 6 a.m. to 10:45 p.m., every 8â€“10 minutes. What if I need special arrangements for parking and getting around campus for myself or for my guest(s)?
Accessible parking is available in nearly all Rice University parking areas. Parking spaces are marked and are reserved for vehicles holding either a state or Rice issued accessible hangtag or state license plate. Accessible Parking spots are situated nearby shuttle stops for easy transportation. All Rice shuttles are equipped to carry passengers in wheelchairs, and provide this service either through a ramp or a lift. Please refer to our campus map

Where can I pick up my tickets, T-shirt(s) and name badge?
When you arrive on campus, please pick up your registration packet at the Homecoming & Reunion Headquarters in Farnsworth Pavilion, part of the Ley Student Center in Rice Memorial Center. This packet will contain your official, commemorative Homecoming & Reunion name badge (which will be needed for free parking on Saturday) as well as maps, schedules and other important information. The Homecoming & Reunion Headquarters will be open Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. You can also purchase additional tickets if needed at Homecoming & Reunion Headquarters, though please note prices will increase on-site.

can help you easily find locations and directions for walking or driving. If you pre-register, you will receive an email a few days prior to the weekend which will include important information and resources for your visit as well.
Are there recommended hotels that offer special rates?
There are several hotels close to campus that offer Rice University rates and a complimentary shuttle to get you to and from the festivities. Hotel rates and availability are subject to change and may become unavailable closer to Homecoming & Reunion weekend. Contact your preferred hotel for current rates.
