Peggy Whitson ’86 breaks spacewalk  records

Astronaut Peggy Whitson ’86, already one of the most accomplished space scientists in the world, broke two new records during her eighth spacewalk on March 30. Whitson earned her Ph.D. in biochemistry at Rice and also serves as an adjunct associate professor of biosciences.
