Shardee "Shar" (Caesar) Douglas '07 is a CEO with an extensive career at the intersection of technology, media and marketing, including senior leadership roles in marketing for YouTube and as global head of marketing at TIDAL. Douglas has led large international teams across media, social platforms, gaming and music, bringing a global perspective shaped in part by years living and working across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. As a four-year letter winner on Rice's track team, Douglas won three conference championships and served as president of the student athlete advisory committee, representing the Owls at the NCAA national conference. Since graduation, she has maintained uninterrupted giving to the university, served as an alumni admissions interviewer, mentored Rice student-athletes and stayed active in alumni chapters in New York, San Francisco and Washington, D.C. Deeply committed to representation and inclusion, Douglas is a member of the Executive Leadership Council, a premier organization for Black senior executives and board leaders, and brings a powerful network across industries and a passion for advancing Rice's global impact and entrepreneurial ecosystem.
