We are excited to welcome Rice alumni and friends to campus Nov. 6-9 for Alumni Weekend. Use these resources to help plan your visit.

General

Do I need to register in advance for Alumni Weekend?

We strongly encourage advance registration so our support teams can provide each attendee with an unforgettable experience. Walk-up registration is available at Headquarters located in the Flex Studio of Moody Center for the Arts. Prices increase for walk-up registrants.

If registering in advance, please be advised that the deadline for canceling registration and receiving a refund is Nov. 2.

Please note that walk-up registration is a cashless process. Additionally, we are not able to accept payments using Apple Pay or Venmo. Credit and debit payments only.

Where do I check in for Alumni Weekend?

Upon your arrival, check in at Alumni Weekend Headquarters located in the Flex Studio of Moody Center for the Arts during the hours noted below. At this location, you will be able to pick up name badges, ask questions and/or make any registration modifications.

8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Saturday
8:30 a.m. to noon

Please note that we are not able to accept payments using Apple Pay or Venmo. Credit and debit payments only.

Is parking available on campus during Alumni Weekend?

Parking is free in West Lot 4 during Alumni Weekend. Additional parking is available in West Lot 3 and Greenbriar Lot. You will need to show the gate attendant your Alumni Weekend badge for entry.

What does the Alumni Weekend Tailgate and Family Fest price include?

Price includes a lunch plate, unlimited water, tea and lemonade. Sodas, wine and beer will be available for purchase. Vegetarian options are also available. Activities include lawn games for all ages and inflatables for children.

Will in-person events be canceled if it rains during Alumni Weekend?

Rain or shine, all in-person events will continue. Please dress appropriately for the weather and event occasion.

Can alumni visit the residential colleges during Alumni Weekend?

Based on Rice’s interpretation of FERPA, alumni are asked not to visit the colleges before, during or after the event.

Will there be activities for children at Alumni Weekend?

Children of all ages are welcome to attend Alumni Weekend! The Alumni Weekend Tailgate and Family Fest on Saturday, Nov. 8, will feature family-friendly games and activities.

Where do I purchase tickets to the Rice football game during Alumni Weekend?

Football tickets can be purchased via the Alumni Weekend + Rice vs. UAB Football Game ticket package until Sunday, Nov. 2. Digital tickets are also available through Rice Athletics until game day or at the box office. Children 2 and under do not require a ticket. Tickets will be delivered via Rice Athletics, and purchasers will receive an email notification when their tickets are available in their account.

Why do some Alumni Weekend events require a separate registration?

In addition to the featured Alumni Weekend programming, many schools, organizations and residential colleges across campus host their own events to enhance the experience. Some of these activities require separate registrations to help organizers plan accordingly, but all are part of what make Alumni Weekend an Owlsome success.

If your class year ends in 0 or 5, get ready to celebrate your reunion!

Navigating Campus

If you need help navigating around campus, use this handy Interactive Map or the Rice Google Map to get you where you need to go! There will also be printed maps available at Headquarters, located in the Flex Studio of Moody Center for the Arts (Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to noon).

Transportation

Visitors to campus have access to Rice’s shuttle system that circles the university’s inner loop and connect Rice Stadium, the Annex Building, Graduate Apartments on Bissonnet and Rice Village Apartments to the rest of campus. Explore available shuttles and specific routes.
