The Rice Portal gives alumni and friends access to a variety of online resources* to connect with each other and engage with the university, including:

*Some resources, including the ability to create a Rice Alumni email address, are only available to alumni whose degree status has been fully verified — which can take up to six weeks after graduation.
Update Your Contact Information
Stay in touch once you’re beyond the hedges! Since you’ll no longer live on campus and your @rice.edu student email address will expire shortly after graduation, providing us updated mailing and email addresses will ensure you don’t miss any communications from the Office of Alumni Relations — including invitations to Rice events in your area and exclusive access to alumni programs and benefits.

Located all over the globe, regional groups meet throughout the year for various programs and activities and provide Owls with opportunities to lead and volunteer.
Affinity groups, formed on shared identity, professional pursuits and common interests, create vibrant opportunities for alumni to connect and stay engaged.
5th Reunion Celebration
Commemorate your first milestone reunion by returning to Rice for a celebration in your honor! Reconnect and reminisce over food and drinks before heading to the Alumni Tent at Beer Bike the following morning.
The 5th Reunion is unique in that it’s held each year during Beer Bike weekend in the spring instead of during Alumni Weekend in the fall, where the 10th-50th reunions occur.

Builders Award
Established by the Association of Rice Alumni in 2005, the Builders Award honors recent alumni who have made outstanding contributions to Rice since graduation.
Past winners include notable regional alumni leaders, Annual Giving volunteers, affinity group trailblazers and other recent alumni who are committed to supporting Rice and its community of students and alumni through their dedication of time, talent and energy.

Learning is a lifelong pursuit that extends far beyond graduation. With the ContinuOWL Learning program, Rice alumni have exclusive access to Coursera courses, a range of webinars, online events and Owls Online, a virtual book forum.
